We were allocated 2 spaces to design AND we were allowed to choose any style we wanted to show off! It IS footy season after all, so we chose to profile The Club House style and its classy big sister The Trophy Room. Both of these looks are Signature looks from JAK Creative & Events.
Our signature footy look The Club House, was designed as a table scape, banquet style for 10 people in the Diamond Club. The Diamond Club is totally gorgeous, and unless we design something in there after this we’ll probably never see it again. It’s exclusively for rock stars, foreign dignitaries and billionaires. It’s Etihad Stadium’s most prestigious membership inspired by Etihad Airways’ Premium Lounge.
Obviously we had to make it fancy so we brought in our beautiful friends at Style by Nature to add some spectacular floral touches. The design was all about bringing the game to the table and celebrating Aussie Rules in style. This one had bespoke touches from trophy cup place cards, turf charger plates and custom menus to footballs in cloches and spectacular native blooms. Be sure to check out more of these images here.
The Club House has a classy Big Sister did you know? The Trophy Room is the glamorous version of The Club House and is perfect for cocktail parties; so that’s exactly what we did in The Studio! ‘The Studio’ was originally built as a television studio which means it has loads of rigging points to hang chandeliers and lights. The amazing team from Audio Visual Dynamics worked really hard with us to get everything as sparkly and warm as possible and didn’t hold back. Not only that, the fabulous team from Delaware North said ‘Let’s serve cocktails!’ and they did. Espresso Martinis and Champagne cocktails to be precise.
The centerpiece we designed for the room was a glittering display of crystal, candlelight and trophies. It made everyone look really beautiful, because every smiles when they see sparkles. We also designed custom trophies, suspended banners and drinks menus as additional touches. There are more images of The Trophy Room here.
The event was the biggest to date for the EA Network so far. Masterfully coordinated by the stadium, guests were treated firstly to canapes and beverages on the turf with some great entertainment from Icon Entertainment. Then they toured throughout the spaces we designed. Social Playground created some really cool interactive services for guests to post their snaps of the night and see them displayed on the scoreboards. Never seen that before! Obviously everyone loved it.
But the night didn’t end there – two AFL players, Marc Murphy the Captain of Carlton FC and Jack Watts from Melbourne FC were there to help draw the big prizes of the night, donated from Etihad Stadium being 2 Hospitality Packages to Coldplay for two (Valued at $1,000 each)! We all got to join the guests for dessert and champagne furniture supplied by Harry the Hirer and made some new friends too. Hooray! It was a super massive effort from everyone involved.
P.S. We didn’t win the tickets to Coldplay but we did get to play in The Diamond Club! It’s like Narnia.
